The Data Security and Protection Toolkit, explained
Every practice with an NHS contract has to publish a DSPT assessment once a year. It's a self-assessment of how you protect patient data.
The Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) is the NHS's yearly check that an organisation handles patient data safely. Dental practices with NHS contracts complete it online and publish the result.
Much of it is about people and paperwork, such as training records and policies. A large part is technical, such as supported operating systems, patching, backups, access control and multi-factor authentication. That's the part most practices struggle to evidence.

Questions
Do you work with our practice management software?
Very likely. We work with the systems UK practices use most, including EXACT, Dentally, R4+ and Pearl, plus the common imaging packages. We'll confirm during the free health check.
Will you complete the DSPT for us?
The toolkit has to be submitted by your practice, and some answers are about your policies and people. We prepare and evidence every technical item, help with the rest, and walk your IG lead through it before you submit.
What happens when an imaging PC fails during clinic?
Call us. Our first response is within 15 minutes during support hours. We fix most problems remotely, and an engineer comes to site when the fault needs hands on the machine.
Can you take over from our current IT company?
Yes. We plan the handover with you, collect passwords and documentation, and move support across without interrupting clinics.
Can we spread the cost of new surgery PCs?
Yes. Hardware-as-a-service puts PCs, setup, warranty and replacement into a monthly fee per device, so you don't face a large one-off bill.
